Johan Hove

Johan Hove is a Norwegian midfielder born in Sogndal on 7 September 2000. He developed in Sogndal IL’s academy and made his senior debut for Sogndal in 2016, appearing as a substitute in a 4–1 win over Aalesund. In August 2018, Hove moved to Strømsgodset, where he made his debut against Rosenborg and scored his first top-flight goal against Haugesund the following year. Over five seasons, he established himself as an important midfielder and increased his attacking influence. Hove joined FC Groningen in January 2023 and stayed after the club’s relegation that season. He scored the opening goal in Groningen’s 2–0 victory over Roda JC in May 2024, helping secure promotion back to the Eredivisie. In February 2025, he returned to Scandinavia with AIK Stockholm, continuing a career shaped by energetic midfield play and regular contributions in the final third.
