Jordan Brian Henderson

Jordan Brian Henderson is an English defensive midfielder from Sunderland, known for his right-footed passing, stamina and positional discipline. He developed at Sunderland’s academy, made his senior debut in 2008, and spent six months on loan at Coventry City in 2009. After returning, he won Sunderland’s Young Player of the Year award in 2009–10 and 2010–11. Henderson joined Liverpool in 2011 and gradually evolved from a right-sided midfielder into a deeper organiser and box-to-box presence, using switches of play, pressing and defensive cover. He became Liverpool captain in 2015 and led the club to the Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup during the 2019–20 period. Henderson also won the FA Cup and two League Cups with Liverpool and was named FWA Footballer of the Year in 2020. He represented England and later played for Al-Ettifaq and Ajax, extending his career built on leadership and versatility.
