Justin Heekeren

Justin Heekeren is a German goalkeeper born in Xanten on 27 November 2000. He developed at Borussia Veen, SSV Rheintreu Lüttingen and VfB Homberg before joining Borussia Mönchengladbach’s academy in 2015 and completing his youth career with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. At Oberhausen, Heekeren became a regular in the Regionalliga West and made 37 appearances in the 2021/22 season, keeping 12 clean sheets. FC Schalke 04 signed him in June 2022, and he later made his 2. Bundesliga debut during the 2023/24 campaign. In January 2024, Schalke loaned him to Patro Eisden Maasmechelen, where he recorded eight clean sheets during the half-season spell. He returned to Schalke for 2024/25 and competed for the starting role before joining Anderlecht in January 2026. Heekeren brings a 1.96-metre frame, strong reflexes, high claims and comfortable distribution with both feet.
