Per Johan Gustav Hammar

Per Johan Gustav Hammar is a Swedish defender, born in Malmö on 22 February 1994. Standing 1.97 metres, he began in Bunkeflo IF’s youth system before joining Malmö FF and moving to Everton’s academy in 2010. Hammar signed a professional contract with Everton in 2011 and had a one-month loan spell at Stockport County in early 2013. After leaving England, he returned to Malmö FF in 2013 and was part of teams that won the Allsvenskan and Swedish Super Cup in 2013 and 2014. He later spent 2015 on loan at Fredrikstad before joining Örgryte IS, where he captained the club during the 2017 season. In 2018, Hammar moved to BK Häcken and became an established centre-back. He helped Häcken win the 2022 Allsvenskan title and the 2022–23 Svenska Cupen, and remains part of the club’s squad.
