Joao Alberto Grimaldo Ubidia

Joao Alberto Grimaldo Ubidia is a Peruvian right winger born in Lima on 20 February 2003. He developed in Peru’s youth system before joining Sporting Cristal, where he advanced through the ranks and made his professional debut in November 2020. Grimaldo helped Sporting Cristal win the Liga 1 title and became a regular attacking option during his spell with the club. In 2024, he moved to FK Partizan, beginning a European chapter after establishing himself in domestic football. He later continued that progression with Sparta Praha, taking on a new challenge in the Czech game. For Peru, Grimaldo made his senior debut against Brazil in September 2023 and scored his first international goal against Nicaragua in March 2024. His game is built around acceleration, direct running and one-on-one attacks from the wing, while his development has also included learning to contribute within demanding tactical structures.
