Jake Grech
Jake Grech is a Maltese central midfielder born in Pietà on 18 November 1997. He developed in the Ħamrun Spartans youth system and gained senior experience as the club climbed from Malta’s lower divisions back to the Premier League. In 2017, Grech moved to Birkirkara, beginning a spell among Malta’s leading clubs. He joined Hibernians in January 2019, later helping them win the 2021–22 Premier League title and the 2022–23 Super Cup. After also representing Balzan, he joined Floriana in January 2024. For Malta, Jake Grech came off the bench against Finland in a World Cup qualifier and scored an 83rd-minute winner in Helsinki in November 2025. He is currently registered with Ħamrun Spartans. Grech has developed from an attacking midfielder into a deeper central presence, while retaining late runs into the box and set-piece delivery.
