Joshua Lloyd Ginnelly
Joshua Ginnelly attacks space from the left wing, sprinting beyond the line and pulling defenders wide to create chances for teammates. Ginnelly began his professional journey with Shrewsbury Town, making his Football League debut on 30 August 2014 and showing immediate technical ability. He soon moved on to Hearts. Joshua Ginnelly enjoyed his most productive spell at Heart of Midlothian, making 89 appearances with 22 goals and 13 assists and helping the side in the Scottish Premiership. He joined Swansea City and scored on his EFL Cup debut on 8 August 2023, before suffering an Achilles rupture in September 2023 that sidelined him for over a year. As a left winger, Ginnelly presses high, drives at defenders, and looks to link play with quick one‑touch layoffs. He creates separation by pace and runs in behind to threaten the back post, then finishes moves with controlled shots on goal. Joshua Ginnelly remains a forward-focused presence who wins space and gets shots off quickly when action unfolds on the pitch.
