Jérémy Pierre Sincère Gélin

Jérémy Pierre Sincère Gélin is a French centre-back born in Quimper on 24 April 1997. He began playing with US Pluguffan and ES Kerfeunteun before joining the Pôle Espoir de Ploufragan and, in 2012, the Stade Rennais academy. At Rennes, Gélin developed as a composed, ball-playing defender and progressed through the reserve side. He made his Ligue 1 debut against Montpellier in October 2017 and recorded 28 top-flight appearances during the 2017–18 season. He later spent the 2020–21 campaign on loan at Royal Antwerp, gaining European experience in the Europa League. An ACL rupture in July 2021 interrupted his progress, after which he continued his career with Amiens SC and Panserraikos. Now associated with Nancy, Gélin brings centre-back reading and passing to a role that has increasingly included defensive midfield duties.
