Jens Martin Gammelby

Jens Martin Gammelby is a Danish defender from Ikast who developed in the Silkeborg academy after beginning in FC Midtjylland’s youth system. Initially used as a striker, he moved into defence at under-19 level, where his height and recovery speed suited the role. Gammelby made his senior debut for Silkeborg in March 2014, featuring in a 1–0 victory over Hobro. He established himself during the 2017–18 season, scoring six goals in 34 appearances before joining Brondby in 2018. At Brondby, he competed for a place while also demonstrating versatility across the back line and midfield. He returned to Silkeborg in January 2024 and helped the club win the 2023–24 Danish Cup. Gammelby remains with Silkeborg, offering a tall, mobile option at right-back and cover in several positions.
