Jurgen Ekkelenkamp
Jurgen Ekkelenkamp is a Dutch midfielder born in Zeist on 5 April 2000. He spent nine years developing at Almere City before joining Ajax’s academy at 13, where he helped the under-17 side win the Dutch U17 Eredivisie title in 2016–17. Ekkelenkamp progressed to Jong Ajax, scoring 11 goals in 21 appearances during the 2019–20 season. He made his Ajax first-team and Champions League debut against Juventus in April 2019, drawing attention after fouling Cristiano Ronaldo to stop a counterattack. In 2021, Ekkelenkamp moved to Hertha BSC and scored with a header shortly after entering his Bundesliga debut. He then joined Royal Antwerp in 2022, becoming part of the team that won the Belgian league title in 2022–23. Since moving to Udinese in 2024, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp has continued his career in Serie A as a midfielder.
