Jefferson Abel Díaz Beleño

Jefferson Abel Díaz Beleño is a Colombian defender born in San Andrés on 5 December 2000. He stands 1.86m tall and began his senior career with Real Cartagena in 2017, initially playing as a forward. Under Nilton Bernal in 2021, Díaz was converted to centre-back, a change that redirected his career. After leaving Cartagena, he joined Valledupar FC in 2022, where he established himself as a regular starter. His performances earned him a move to Deportivo Cali in January 2023, and he made his top-flight debut against Atlético Nacional the following month. During two seasons with Cali, Díaz developed into a prominent central defender. Minnesota United FC signed him in July 2024, taking him to Major League Soccer. With Minnesota, Jefferson Díaz has continued as a centre-back, contributing to a back line while also helping build play from deep.
