Joshua Jon Cullen
Joshua Jon Cullen is a central midfielder born in Westcliff-on-Sea, England, who represents the Republic of Ireland internationally. He joined West Ham United’s academy as a youngster after developing with Rayleigh Boys and progressed through the club’s age groups. Cullen made his senior West Ham debut in a 2015 Europa League qualifier against Lusitanos, then appeared in the Premier League against Liverpool later that year. He gained regular senior experience on loan with Bradford City, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic, helping Charlton win promotion from League One in 2019. In 2020, Cullen moved from West Ham to Anderlecht, where he developed as a deeper midfielder under Vincent Kompany. He followed Kompany to Burnley in 2022 and helped the club win the Championship in 2022–23. Cullen has since combined ball recovery, disciplined positioning and secure passing for Burnley while also establishing himself in Ireland’s midfield.
