Joshua Cohen
Joshua Cohen is an American goalkeeper born in Mountain View, California, on August 18, 1992. He developed at Santa Clara Sporting Club and Bellarmine College Preparatory before playing college soccer at UC San Diego, where he started 52 matches and recorded 22 shutouts. After going undrafted in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, Cohen began his professional career with Burlingame Dragons and Orange County Blues before continuing with Phoenix Rising. He later played for Sacramento Republic, starting every match in the 2018 season and recording 12 clean sheets. In 2019, Cohen moved to Maccabi Haifa, helping the club win three consecutive Israeli Premier League titles from 2020–21 through 2022–23. He was named Israeli Footballer of the Year for 2020–21 and kept a clean sheet in Maccabi Haifa’s Champions League victory over Juventus in 2022. After joining Atlanta United, Cohen returned to MLS with Chicago Fire.
