Juan David Cabal Murillo

Juan David Cabal Murillo is a Colombian defender born in Cali on 8 January 2001. He developed at Atlético Nacional, where he made his senior debut in 2019 and helped the club win the 2021 Copa Colombia. Initially used as a left-sided centre-back, Cabal brought his 1.86-metre frame to Italy when he joined Verona in 2022. After a limited first season, he became a regular in the second half of 2023–24, operating at left-back as Verona used a back four. His performances earned a move to Juventus in July 2024, adding further flexibility to a defender with central defensive roots. Cabal made his Colombia debut in September 2024 during a World Cup qualifying win over Argentina. He later faced an ACL injury, but his progression established Juan David Cabal Murillo as a versatile option across the left side of defence.
