Jesús Daniel Bueno Áñez

Jesús Daniel Bueno Áñez is a Venezuelan midfielder born in Barquisimeto on April 15, 1999. He developed in Deportivo Lara’s youth system and made his professional debut for the club in October 2016. Bueno scored his first senior goal in January 2018, when Deportivo Lara defeated Atlético Venezuela 3–2. He became the club’s captain for the 2021 season and gained continental experience in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. Philadelphia Union acquired him on a multi-year deal in July 2021. After limited appearances in 2021 and 2022, Bueno made a stronger impact in 2023, recording 24 MLS appearances and 10 starts. During that year’s Leagues Cup, he started six of seven matches, scored two goals and supplied three assists. Primarily a defensive midfielder, Bueno can also operate centrally and earned his first senior Venezuela call-up in August 2023.
