Jarrad Paul Branthwaite

Jarrad Paul Branthwaite is an English centre-back born in Carlisle on 27 June 2002. He joined Carlisle United’s youth system at eight, initially playing central midfield before moving into defence by Under-16 level. Branthwaite made his senior Carlisle debut in October 2019 and became the club’s youngest goalscorer in the EFL Trophy the following month. Everton signed him in January 2020, and he made his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers later that year. A loan with Blackburn Rovers in 2021 was followed by a 2022–23 spell at PSV Eindhoven, where he won the Dutch Cup. Returning to Everton, Branthwaite established himself as a regular starter during the 2023–24 season and received the club’s Young Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards. He helped England Under-21 win the 2023 European Championship, then earned a senior call-up in 2024 and debuted against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
