Jan Bořil
Jan Bořil is a Czech defender born in Nymburk on 11 January 1991. He developed at FK Mladá Boleslav after beginning with SK Hořátev and AFK Sadská, and made his professional breakthrough there following a 2010–11 loan to Viktoria Žižkov. Returning to Mladá Boleslav, Bořil established himself as a versatile defender before joining Slavia Praha in January 2016. Primarily used at left-back, he became a key part of Slavia’s high-intensity defensive and pressing game, later moving into a leadership role and becoming club captain in February 2020. Bořil scored against Barcelona in the 2019–20 Champions League and has won five Czech league titles and four Czech Cups. He represented the Czech Republic at UEFA Euro 2020 and returned to competition after a lengthy knee-injury absence that began in 2021.
