Jelle Bataille

Jelle Bataille is a Belgian midfielder born in Oostende on 20 May 1999. He developed at KV Oostende, returning to the club’s academy after an early spell elsewhere, and made his senior debut in 2017. Bataille scored his first senior goal for Oostende against Lokeren in May 2018, beginning a four-season spell in which he became a regular contributor. In 2021, he moved to Antwerp, where his ability to operate across midfield and on the right side helped him contribute to a successful domestic campaign. With Antwerp, Bataille won the Belgian Pro League and Belgian Cup in 2022–23, then added the Belgian Super Cup in 2023–24 and gained Champions League experience. He later joined Maccabi Haifa, continuing his career abroad after establishing himself in Belgian football.
