Jan Alexandre Bamert
Jan Alexandre Bamert is a Swiss defender born in Zürich on 9 March 1998. He began his football development at FC Tuggen before joining Grasshoppers’ academy in 2012. Bamert made his professional debut for Grasshoppers on 6 February 2016 against BSC Young Boys, completing the match in midfield. After establishing himself in Zürich, he moved to FC Sion in July 2017 and continued his career in the Swiss top flight. In August 2022, Bamert joined FC Thun, initially competing in the Swiss Challenge League. His time at Thun culminated in the club winning the 2024/25 Challenge League title and returning to the Super League. Internationally, he represented Switzerland from under-15 to under-21 level, including involvement at the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
