Jean Luc Gbayara Assoubre

Jean Luc Gbayara Assoubre is an Ivorian right winger born in Lakota on 8 August 1992. He developed in Villarreal’s academy and began senior football with the club’s C team in the 2010–11 season before moving to Villarreal B in 2013. Assoubre joined Gimnàstic de Tarragona that summer and helped the club earn promotion to Spain’s Segunda División in 2014–15. He made his second-tier debut against Albacete and scored his first goal at that level against Tenerife soon afterwards. During a five-year spell with Nàstic, he played mainly from the right and won the Copa Catalunya in 2016–17. In 2018, Jean Luc moved to AEK Larnaca, later spending time with PAS Lamia, AEL Larissa, Sigma Olomouc and Ethnikos Achnas. He then continued in Andorra with Inter Club d’Escaldes, winning the Copa Constitució and Andorran Super Cup, and is now registered with Atlètic Club d’Escaldes.
