Joshua Archer
Joshua Archer is a Northern Irish midfielder, born on 21 July 2003. He developed at Ridgeway Rovers before joining Linfield at under-14 level, progressing through the club’s youth system. Archer made his senior Linfield debut on 5 October 2020 as a substitute in a 6-0 win over PSNI, scoring and receiving the club’s Goal of the Month award. He also captained Linfield Swifts to the 2021 Steel and Sons Cup final. To gain senior experience, he joined Portadown on loan for 2022-23, making 32 appearances and scoring three goals while winning the club’s Player of the Season award. He returned to Linfield in 2023 and signed a new three-year contract, later featuring in European qualifying matches. Archer is currently registered with Ballymena United, continuing a career shaped by central midfield development and senior experience.
