Eric Joel Andersson

Eric Joel Andersson, commonly known as Joel Andersson, is a Swedish right-back born in Göteborg on 11 November 1996. He developed at Västra Frölunda IF and entered senior football in Sweden’s fourth tier before moving to BK Häcken in 2013. After two years in Häcken’s academy, Andersson made his Allsvenskan breakthrough in 2015, becoming the club’s starting right-back by the following season. He helped Häcken win the Svenska Cupen in 2015–16, while also offering versatility on the flank. On 2 July 2018, he joined FC Midtjylland and scored his first goal for the club against OB later that year. During his Danish spell, he won Superliga titles in 2019–20 and 2023–24 and Danish Cups in 2018–19 and 2021–22. In July 2025, Andersson moved to Ludogorets, continuing a career that includes European competition and involvement with Sweden.
