Josimar Angelo Alcócer McCook
Josimar Angelo Alcócer McCook is a Costa Rican midfielder born in San José on July 7, 2004. He developed in Liga Deportiva Alajuelense’s academy after joining in 2014 and made his senior debut against Sporting San José on August 1, 2021. Alcócer scored his first senior goal on September 12 that year, aged 17. In August 2023, he moved to Belgian club KVC Westerlo, beginning a new stage in his development. At Westerlo, he adapted to the Belgian Pro League before becoming a regular squad member, making 32 appearances in the 2024–25 season. Used in wide attacking roles, Alcócer progresses the ball, cuts inside, drives toward the byline and contributes defensive cover. He has also represented Costa Rica, scoring at the 2024 Copa América and recording two goals at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
