Iñigo Barrenetxea García

Iñigo Barrenetxea García is a Spanish midfielder from Bilbao. He developed in the Athletic Club and Danok Bat youth systems before returning to Athletic’s reserve structure with Basconia in 2013. In 2015, Barrenetxea joined Eibar’s reserve setup and made his La Liga debut for the first team against Getafe in November that year. After a loan spell with Sestao River, he continued his senior career with clubs including Lorca and Águilas. He later moved into Andorran football, representing Atlètic Club d’Escaldes, where his midfield role also brought an increased scoring contribution. Barrenetxea now plays for FC Santa Coloma, adding experience from Spain’s lower divisions and Andorra to the club’s midfield.
