Ibrahima Sissoko

Ibrahima Sissoko is a French midfielder who operates centrally, including in a defensive role. Born in Meaux on 27 October 1997, he developed at CS Meaux and US Torcy before joining Stade Brestois 29 in 2014. Sissoko made his senior breakthrough with Brest in Ligue 2 and scored his first professional goal against Bourg-Péronnas in December 2017. In 2018, he moved to Strasbourg and quickly scored on his Ligue 1 debut away to Bordeaux. He spent six seasons with Strasbourg, helping the club win the 2018–19 Coupe de la Ligue while contributing defensive coverage and ball recovery in midfield. After joining VfL Bochum in 2024, Sissoko continued in Germany as a physically strong ball-winner and was credited with leading the Bundesliga for duels won in 2024–25. He later returned to France with Nantes, while his international path took him from France’s youth teams to Mali, for whom he debuted in 2023.
