Isaac Osa's Schmidt

Isaac Osa's Schmidt is a Swiss defender born in Lausanne on December 7, 1999. He developed through the FC Lausanne-Sport academy and represented Team Vaud U21 between 2016 and 2020, scoring 15 goals in 50 appearances. Schmidt signed his first professional contract with Lausanne-Sport in 2019 and belonged to the side that won the Swiss Challenge League in 2019–20. In 2021, he moved to FC St. Gallen, where he established himself in the Swiss Super League over three seasons. Across that spell, Schmidt made 92 appearances and scored six goals, while developing into a full-back able to operate on either flank. His attacking background remained visible in his willingness to carry the ball and contribute from wide areas, although his registered position is defender. Schmidt is now listed with BSC Young Boys, adding another chapter to a career that has taken him from Lausanne’s academy into senior Swiss football.
