Ibrahim Sangaré

Ibrahim Sangaré is an Ivorian defensive midfielder born in Abidjan on 2 December 1997. He developed in Côte d’Ivoire with Tout Puissant Koumassi and AS Denguélé before moving to France at 18. Sangaré joined Toulouse in 2016, made his Ligue 1 debut that October and became a regular during the 2017–18 season. After Toulouse’s relegation, he moved to PSV Eindhoven in September 2020. At PSV, he developed as a ball-winner in midfield and won the 2023 KNVB Cup. Sangaré joined Nottingham Forest in September 2023, continuing his career in the Premier League as a defensive anchor. He has also represented Ivory Coast and came on as a substitute in the final of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations triumph over Nigeria. At 191 centimetres, Sangaré uses his reach and strength to intercept passes, contest aerial duels and protect the back line, while his carrying and simple distribution help move possession forward.
