Issouf Paro

Issouf Paro is a Burkinabè football defender, primarily a centre-back, born in Bobo-Dioulasso in 1994. He began his senior career with Étoile Filante de Ouagadougou before moving to South Africa, where he played for Santos FC from 2015 to 2017. Paro then joined French club Chamois Niortais in 2017 and remained there until 2021, making 66 senior appearances. He later represented US Concarneau in France, adding experience in the Championnat National and Ligue 2. At international level, Paro has been involved with Burkina Faso and was part of the squad that finished third at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. In September 2024, he moved to Azerbaijan to join Araz-Naxçıvan. Standing 1.84 metres tall, Paro offers central defensive presence and has also been described as capable of covering full-back positions.
