Ilir Krasniqi

Ilir Krasniqi is a Kosovo international midfielder, born in Bocholt, Germany, on 2 April 2000. He developed in Kosovo’s football system and emerged with Llapi, where his performances established him in the country’s top-flight scene. At Llapi, Krasniqi contributed to build-up play from deeper positions and offered physical presence during set pieces. His progress led to a move into Ukrainian football, where he represented Kolos Kovalivka before joining Polessya Zhytomyr in January 2026. For Polessya, he has been used in a more conservative role, helping protect the space in front of the defence while retaining the ability to move the ball forward. Krasniqi progressed through Kosovo’s under-19 and under-21 teams before making his senior debut against Cyprus in the UEFA Nations League in September 2022. He remains part of Kosovo’s international setup as his club career develops.
