Ismaël Kenneth Jordan Koné

Ismaël Kenneth Jordan Koné is a Canadian central midfielder born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in 2002. He moved to Montreal at seven and developed with AS Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Panthers and CS Saint-Laurent before joining CF Montréal’s professional setup. After making his senior breakthrough in 2021, Koné scored in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Santos Laguna as Montréal advanced. He moved to Watford in 2023, gaining experience in the EFL Championship before joining Marseille. A loan spell at Stade Rennais preceded his current association with Sassuolo, where he continues to develop as a midfielder. Koné combines a 1.88-metre frame with direct dribbling, ball carrying and the ability to operate as a box-to-box player or deeper playmaker. At international level, he represents Canada, played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and helped the team finish fourth at Copa América 2024.
