Ibrahima Konaté
Ibrahima Konaté is a France international centre-back born in Paris on 25 May 1999. He began at Paris FC before joining Sochaux, where coaches moved him from striker to defence and he made his professional debut in Ligue 2 at 17. RB Leipzig signed Konaté in 2017, giving him experience in Bundesliga back-three and back-four systems. After establishing himself in Germany, he moved to Liverpool in 2021 and developed into a powerful option at the heart of their defence. His recovery pace, aerial strength and ability to cover wide spaces support Liverpool’s high defensive line, while his passing helps launch attacks from deep. In his first Liverpool season, Konaté won the EFL Cup and FA Cup and started the 2022 Champions League final against Real Madrid. He also helped France reach the 2022 World Cup final.
