Idrissa Gana Gueye

Idrissa Gana Gueye is a Senegalese central midfielder born in Dakar on 26 September 1989. He developed at Diambars FC before moving to Lille in 2008, progressing from the reserve side into the first team during the 2010–11 season. With Lille, Gueye won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France in 2011, establishing himself as a hard-working presence in midfield. He joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and won three Ligue 1 titles, while also starting in the 2020 UEFA Champions League final. Gueye returned to Everton in 2022, bringing defensive coverage, pressing and simple distribution to the Premier League club’s midfield. A Senegal international, Idrissa Gana Gueye helped his country win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the nation’s first title, and remains associated with Senegal.
