Ilija Donov

Ilija Donov is a North Macedonian midfielder born on 31 August 2001. He developed at Akademija Pandev, where he began making first-team appearances during the 2021/22 season and scored his first professional goal. Donov also gained continental experience when he featured for the club in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying in 2022/23. After a spell with Bregalnica Stip in early 2024, he joined Sileks on 1 July 2024 as a free agent. At Sileks, Donov has been used primarily as a defensive midfielder, screening the defence, contesting second balls and helping recycle possession. His versatility has also seen him operate centrally and fill in at right-back when required. Donov remains part of the Sileks squad, continuing a progression from youth development into an established role in North Macedonian football.
