Ilyas Chaira

Ilyas Chaira is a Moroccan right winger born in Ripoll, Spain, who developed through Girona’s system. He began his senior pathway with Girona’s reserves before gaining professional experience away from the club. Chaira joined Ibiza, where he contributed to their promotion to the Segunda División during the 2020–21 season. After further development in Spain’s lower divisions, he moved to Mirandés for the 2023–24 campaign. There, he played 38 matches, scoring five goals and providing four assists in LaLiga 2. Chaira then joined Oviedo on loan in 2024, producing eight goals and three assists as the club pursued promotion. Now part of Oviedo’s squad, Ilyas Chaira offers pace, direct dribbling and the ability to cut inside from wide areas, while also contributing to the team’s defensive work.
