Ion Borș
Ion Borș is a Moldovan right-back who developed through the country’s domestic football system. He made his senior breakthrough with Sfîntul Gheorghe, where he was part of the teams that won the Cupa Moldovei in 2020/21 and the Moldovan Super Cup in 2021/22. In July 2023, Borș joined Petrocub on a free transfer, beginning a new stage of his career. With Petrocub, he contributed to the club’s domestic double in 2023/24, when it won the Super Liga and Cupa Moldovei. Although registered primarily as a right-back, Borș has also been used at centre-back and in midfield, underlining his defensive versatility. He made his senior Moldova debut against Romania on 9 October 2025 and later featured in World Cup qualifying. Borș has also gained European experience through Conference League qualifying appearances for Petrocub.
