Isaac Boehmer

Isaac Boehmer is a Canadian goalkeeper born in Penticton, British Columbia, on November 20, 2001. He developed with Pinnacles FC and Thompson Okanagan FC before training with FC Schalke 04 in 2016, then joining the Vancouver Whitecaps academy in 2018. Boehmer signed as a Whitecaps homegrown player in 2020, beginning a patient route toward first-team football. A 2021 loan to Pacific FC gave him his first professional start and placed him in a Canadian Premier League championship squad. He made his MLS debut for Vancouver in 2022, entering at half-time against FC Cincinnati and later earning MLS Team of the Week recognition after facing Portland. In the 2024 Canadian Championship final against Toronto FC, he saved Federico Bernardeschi’s penalty in regulation and stopped another attempt in the shootout as Vancouver lifted the trophy. That performance earned Boehmer the George Gross Memorial Trophy and Best Young Canadian Player honours.
