Ismajl Beka

Ismajl Beka is a Kosovo international defender born in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, on 31 October 1999. Standing 1.97 metres tall, Beka developed through Swiss football before earning a move to FC Luzern in August 2022. He established himself in Luzern’s defence during the second half of the 2022–23 season, using his height to contest aerial balls and protect the penalty area. His performances led to senior international involvement with Kosovo in 2023, including a European Championship qualifier against Romania. A serious knee injury later interrupted his progress and kept him away from action for an extended period. After returning to competitive football, Beka began a new chapter with Grasshoppers in January 2026. At centre-back, Ismajl Beka offers a commanding physical presence and can contribute to build-up play from the left side.
