Ivica Batarelo

Ivica Batarelo is a Croatian defender born in Split on 12 May 1998. He developed in the HNK Hajduk Split academy and played for Hajduk Split II, making 31 appearances in Croatia’s second tier during the 2017/18 season. In 2018, Batarelo moved to Slovenia with NK Krško, recording five top-flight appearances before returning to Croatia. He then established himself at NK Croatia Zmijavci and joined HNK Šibenik, where he made 40 appearances across two seasons in the Croatian top division from 2020 to 2022. During the 2023/24 campaign, he represented HŠK Zrinjski Mostar and NK GOŠK Gabela in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Batarelo later continued his career with FC Ballkani in Kosovo, adding experience in UEFA Conference League qualifying. Primarily a centre-back, he can also cover at right-back and has developed through competition in four national leagues.
