Iván Balliu Campeny

Iván Balliu Campeny is a defender born in Caldas de Malavella, Spain, on 1 January 1992. He developed with Unió Esportiva Caldes and Girona before joining Barcelona’s La Masia, where he captained Juvenil A to a treble in 2011. After leaving Barcelona in 2013, Balliu moved to Portugal with Arouca and then joined Metz in 2015. At Metz, he established himself in French football and experienced promotion to Ligue 1. He returned to Spain with Almería in 2019, becoming part of their promotion-chasing side before moving to Rayo Vallecano in 2021. Primarily a right-back, Balliu has also operated on the left and contributes through positioning, pressing and recovery work. He represented Spain at under-16 and under-17 level before making his senior international career with Albania, appearing at Euro 2024.
