Ilja Antonov

Ilja Antonov is an Estonian midfielder born in Tallinn on 5 December 1992. He developed in Tallinn with FK Spartak Tallinn and FC Puuma, making a first-team impact for Puuma by 2010. Antonov joined FC Levadia Tallinn in 2012 and became part of the team that won consecutive Estonian league titles in 2013 and 2014. Primarily a defensive midfielder, he also contributed goals while helping Levadia build attacks from central areas. In 2017, he continued his career abroad with SV Horn, Rudar Velenje, FC Hermannstadt, Corvinul Hunedoara and Ararat-Armenia. With Ararat-Armenia, Antonov won the 2019–20 Armenian league title, while his later spell at Corvinul included the club’s 2023–24 Romanian Cup triumph. He debuted for Estonia in 2012, scored his first international goal in 2015, and is listed with Flora Tallinn.
