Hunter Pendleton Sulte

Hunter Pendleton Sulte is an American goalkeeper from Anchorage, Alaska. In 2016, he left Alaska to join the Portland Timbers Academy, beginning a pathway through the club’s development system. Sulte made his professional debut for Portland Timbers 2 in March 2020, starting a USL Championship match against Phoenix Rising. Later that year, he signed a Homegrown contract with Portland Timbers rather than taking a Georgetown scholarship. On May 1, 2021, he started against FC Dallas in MLS at 19, becoming the league’s second-youngest starting goalkeeper and its tallest goalkeeper at 2.01 metres. Loan spells with Indy Eleven in 2024 and 2025 gave Sulte regular USL Championship experience, including Team of the Week recognition and clean-sheet performances. He is associated with both Portland Timbers and Portland Timbers 2 as he continues his professional development.
