Heini Fossdalsá Sørensen

Heini Fossdalsá Sørensen is a Faroese midfielder who developed at HB Tórshavn before moving to Denmark as a teenager. In 2018, he joined FC Midtjylland’s academy, where he continued his development through the club’s youth system. Sørensen later made 44 appearances and scored five goals for Midtjylland’s under-19 side, while also gaining experience through training involvement with Ajax’s academy. In 2023, he moved to Thisted FC, making 33 appearances and scoring twice in the Danish second tier. He returned to HB Tórshavn on 28 January 2025, bringing senior experience back to his boyhood club. During the 2025 season, Sørensen recorded five goals in 29 appearances for HB. He has represented the Faroe Islands at youth level and is part of the Faroe Islands under-21 setup.
