Hugo Thierry Siquet

Hugo Thierry Siquet is a Belgian right-back born in Marche-en-Famenne on 9 July 2002. He developed at Standard Liège, joining the club’s academy in 2009 and progressing through its youth ranks. Siquet made his professional debut against Lech Poznań in the Europa League in November 2020, then established himself in Belgian football. In early 2022, he moved to SC Freiburg, where opportunities in the first team were limited. A loan to Cercle Brugge in 2023-24 returned him to regular domestic football and helped the side qualify for Europe. Club Brugge subsequently signed the right-back in 2024, giving him a new route to compete for honours in Belgium. With Club Brugge, Siquet has won the Belgian Cup and Belgian Super Cup. He received his first senior Belgium call-up in September 2023, adding international recognition to a career built on right-sided delivery and positional versatility.
