Harrison James Reed

Harrison James Reed is an English central midfielder born in Worthing on 27 January 1995. He developed at Southampton’s academy after an early trial with Arsenal proved impractical because of the commute. Reed made his professional debut against Barnsley in the 2013 League Cup and soon appeared in the Premier League against Manchester City. With regular opportunities limited at Southampton, he spent 2017–18 on loan at Norwich City, making 39 league appearances, before joining Blackburn Rovers for 2018–19 and scoring three times in 33 league games. A 2019 loan to Fulham preceded a permanent move; Reed helped win the 2020 promotion play-off and 2022 Championship title. At Fulham, he has developed from a holding number six who screened the defence into a more advanced number eight, pressing higher, breaking lines and supporting attacks. His tenacity, interceptions and secure passing have made Reed a dependable presence in Fulham’s midfield.
