Henrikh Hamlet Mkhitaryan
Henrikh Hamlet Mkhitaryan is an Armenian central midfielder born in Yerevan in 1989. He developed at Pyunik, making his senior breakthrough in Armenia before moving to Ukraine and joining Shakhtar Donetsk. At Shakhtar, Mkhitaryan established himself as an attacking midfielder and became one of the league’s leading scorers. Borussia Dortmund signed him in 2013, where he combined movement, passing and creativity under Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel. He later played for Manchester United and Arsenal, scoring in United’s 2017 Europa League final victory over Ajax. In 2019, Mkhitaryan moved to Italy, first representing AS Roma and then joining Inter, where his role developed into that of a versatile central midfielder who helps circulate possession and link phases. He contributed to Inter’s Serie A title triumph in 2024 and has represented Armenia internationally.
