Herman Johan Haugen

Herman Johan Haugen is a Norwegian defender who plays primarily at right-back for Viking. Born on 25 April 2000, he began at Hana IL before joining Viking’s academy at 13. He moved into senior football with a loan to Vidar, where he gained experience and scored his first senior goal. Haugen later spent time with Ull/Kisa in 2020 and Raufoss from 2021 into early 2022, developing in Norway’s second tier. He made his Viking top-flight debut as a late substitute in a 3–1 win over Brann on 9 May 2021. Recalled from Raufoss in July 2022 after Sebastian Sebulonsen’s transfer, Haugen established himself more firmly in Viking’s senior setup. In 2025, he helped Viking win the Eliteserien, scoring once in 19 league appearances while providing width and defensive cover from the right.
