Hovhannes Harutyunyan

Hovhannes Harutyunyan is an Armenian central midfielder, born in Yerevan in 1999 and developed at the Pyunik academy. He progressed through Armenia’s youth teams before making his senior debut for Pyunik in 2016. In 2018, Harutyunyan moved to Slovakia, joining Zemplín Michalovce and making his professional debut against Senica. After returning home, he represented Ararat-Armenia and Pyunik, helping Pyunik win the Armenian Championship in 2021–22. He also featured in Pyunik’s 2022 European campaign, when the club became the first Armenian side to win a UEFA group-stage match. Harutyunyan made his senior Armenia debut against Montenegro on 24 March 2022, while his domestic form included 11 goals and three assists in the autumn of 2023–24. He later joined Sochi and spent periods on loan with Armenian clubs, and is listed with Pyunik Yerevan.
