Hállur Hánsson

Hállur Hánsson is a Faroese midfielder born in Tórshavn on 8 July 1992. He attracted Aberdeen’s attention while representing the Faroe Islands Under-17s in 2007, signed professionally in 2009 and made his Scottish Premier League debut in 2010. After a return to HB Tórshavn, Hánsson joined AaB on loan in 2012 and later signed permanently, helping the club win the Danish Superliga and Danish Cup double in 2013–14. He then played for Vendsyssel FF before joining AC Horsens in 2016, where he spent five years and often captained the side. After leaving Horsens in 2021, he had spells with Vejle BK and KR Reykjavík. Hánsson returned to the Faroe Islands with KÍ Klaksvík in 2023 and has featured in the club’s European campaigns. He has represented the Faroe Islands, scoring in the 2–1 qualifying victory over Greece in 2015.
