Heðin Hansen
Heðin Hansen is a Faroese centre midfielder who has also been used in more defensive roles. Born on 30 July 1993, he began his senior career with Víkingur Gøta. From 2011 to 2019, Hansen progressed into an important player for Víkingur, contributing during a period of domestic success that included league and cup titles. In January 2020, he moved to HB Tórshavn, where he remains registered and has become an experienced presence in the capital club’s midfield. Hansen made his senior debut for the Faroe Islands in a friendly against Denmark on 7 October 2020, later featuring in Nations League and qualifying fixtures. At HB, Hansen’s game is defined by defensive positioning, aerial strength and simple distribution, while his versatility allows him to cover at centre-back when required.
