Hakob Hakobyan

Hakob Hakobyan is an Armenian football defender whose registered position is left-back. Born on 29 March 1997 in Akhalkalaki, Georgia, he developed in Banants’ system, now known as FC Urartu. He progressed to the club’s second team in 2013 and made his senior breakthrough soon afterwards. From 2014 to 2022, Hakobyan established himself at Urartu, featuring in defensive and midfield roles. In July 2022, he joined Ararat-Armenia, where his primary role shifted toward left-back and the inverted wing-back position. His versatility allows him to contribute both in defensive areas and during build-up play. Hakobyan made his Armenia senior debut against North Macedonia in the Nations League on 18 November 2020. He has since added international experience while continuing his domestic career, and he is currently associated with Alashkert.
